Although aerodynamically very sophisticated, the aquamarine cars struggled even to qualify for many of the races in the first half of the season. After two DNQs at the Mexican race Newey split from the team and went to Williams. During the race Leyton House staged what is possibly the greatest comeback in F1 history. Ivan Capelli led a Leyton House one-two deep into the race. Mo Gugelmin suffered an oil scavenge problem and retired at three quarters' distance and Capelli eventually came in second with a very sick sounding engine. It took nearly two years for us to find the car through one of our many contacts worldwide, but eventually it was tracked down to a Porsche dealership in Tokyo.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe car was finally brought back to England and arrived at Sywell in March 2007.
