Arrows Racing
Having defected from the Shadow F1 Team, Italian businessman Franco Ambrosio, along with Alan Rees, Jackie Oliver, Dave Wass and Tony Southgate, created ARROWS Grand Prix International in 1978.
It was not an easy start for the Milton Keynes based team. Arrows initially ran the FA1, which everyone knew, was very similar to the DN9 they had been working on at Shadow. Ambrosio (their main sponsor) left in early 1978 after being charged in Italy for financial irregularities but fortunately a deal was struck with Wartseiner to become the title sponsor.
Shadow sued for copyright infringement, and the London High Courts ruled that the FA1 was indeed a direct copy of the Shadow DN9. Arrows knew that they would lose the case and designed a brand new car, the Arrows A1, in 52 days. It was shown the day after the High Court of Justice in London upheld Shadow's claim and banned the team from racing the FA1.
Eventually things calmed down (for a while) and the team became a permanent fixture in F1 for 24 years. Although between 1990 and 1997 when they were rebranded as Footwork.
In their chequered history, Arrows set the unenviable record of 382 races without a win, although they collected nine podium finishes (1 under Footwork) including five second places.| COLOUR: | White |

Lead Times to Fulfill Your Order
90% of all products on our website are designed and manufactured by our small in-house team. We try to have stock of each product available for prompt despatch but if your order is for a special occasion, please do check stock availability and lead times with us first. This lead time may be longer at busy periods such as Christmas and Father's Day. On average it takes us 1-3 days to prepare a clothing order.
Untracked Shipping
If you select ‘Standard Mail - Not Tracked’, as your chosen shipping method, we will be unable to track your order when it is in transit and provide you with only ‘Proof of Postage’. We highly recommend that if you are outside the UK and order a number of items, that you select ‘ Standard Mail - Tracked’ as a minimum. We want your order to get to you without delay, but we have found in the past that ’Standard Mail - Not Tracked (especially to USA, Brazil and Mexico) that there is a 20% likelihood that your order will not arrive.
Returns Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the 'Complete Orders' link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
Shipping
We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
