François Cevert was the golden boy of French motorsport in the early 1970s, a driver whose blend of speed, elegance, and charisma marked him out as one of Formula One’s brightest prospects.
Driving for Ken Tyrrell’s team, Cevert quickly established himself as not just Jackie Stewart’s loyal teammate, but also his natural successor. His 1971 victory at the United States Grand Prix, along with a string of podiums, underlined a talent that was still developing, and with Stewart retiring at the end of 1973, many in the paddock believed Tyrrell had the perfect heir to lead the team into a new era. Cevert combined flair behind the wheel with a poised, magnetic presence outside the cockpit that made him immensely popular with fans and fellow drivers alike.
Tragically, that promise was cut short on October 6, 1973, when Cevert was killed during qualifying at Watkins Glen, the very circuit where he had claimed his greatest triumph two years earlier. The accident shocked Formula One to its core, robbing the sport of a driver who seemed destined to become France’s first World Champion. For Tyrrell, it was a double blow, losing not only Stewart to retirement but also the man groomed to take his place. Cevert’s death remains one of the sport’s great “what if” moments — the loss of a driver whose combination of speed, intelligence, and grace might have rewritten the history books had fate allowed him the chance.

Lead Times to Fulfill Your Order
90% of all products on our website are designed and manufactured by our production / fulfilment company and are created by DTG (Direct to Garment Printing). This means we do not carry stock and make each order individually for our customers. If your order is for a special occasion, please do check stock availability and lead times with us first. This lead time may be longer at busy periods such as Christmas and Father's Day. On average it takes us 3-5 days to prepare a clothing order.
Untracked Shipping
If you select ‘Standard Mail - Not Tracked’, as your chosen shipping method, we will be unable to track your order when it is in transit and provide you with only ‘Proof of Postage’. We highly recommend that if you are outside the UK and order a number of items, that you select ‘ Standard Mail - Tracked’ as a minimum. We want your order to get to you without delay, but we have found in the past that ’Standard Mail - Not Tracked (especially to USA, Brazil and Mexico) that there is a 20% likelihood that your order will not arrive.
Returns Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the 'Complete Orders' link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
Shipping
We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
